1. Scope
This policy covers every service offered through the Adliyelik website and mobile interfaces operated by Aymez Teknoloji: free and paid questions, lawyer answers, reading and buying articles, messaging, subscriptions and payments.
The detailed legal framework for personal data — the grounds for processing, data categories and your rights under article 11 of Law no. 6698 — is set out in the Data Protection Notice. The rules for using the platform are covered by the Terms of Service.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: full name, email address, phone number if provided, the irreversible hash of your password, your role (client / lawyer) and last sign-in time.
- Content data: the title and body of the questions you ask, the attachments you upload, lawyer answers, articles, your ratings and comments, and message contents.
- Transaction data: payment amount, currency, payment status, order and refund records, subscription history and lawyer payout records. Your card details never reach us — payment is taken on the infrastructure of a licensed payment institution.
- Lawyer verification data: bar association name and registration number, practice areas and the documents you upload for verification.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, session logs, error logs, search queries and page view events.
- Communication data: your support requests and the contents of emails you send us.
While describing your legal issue you may share special category data such as health status, criminal convictions, religion or membership. We recommend sharing such data only to the extent strictly necessary to answer your question; the grounds for processing are set out in the Data Protection Notice.
3. Why we use the data
- To create your account, verify your identity and keep your session secure (including two-factor authentication).
- To route your question to lawyers in the relevant practice area and deliver their answers to you.
- To take payment for paid questions, calculate lawyer payouts and run refund and invoicing processes.
- To moderate content and block insults, spam, disclosure of personal data and unlawful posts.
- To measure service quality: monitoring response times (SLA), improving search results and debugging.
- To send notifications and newsletters if you have opted in; you can turn preferences off from your dashboard at any time.
- To meet legal obligations (for example retaining financial records and responding to competent authorities).
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertising networks.
4. Who we share it with
- Answering lawyers: the content of your question and your visible profile information. For a paid question, the question is opened to lawyers only after payment completes.
- Payment institution: the amount, order number and contact details required to take and refund payment.
- Infrastructure providers: hosting, email and SMS delivery and error monitoring services. These providers process data only on our instructions.
- Competent authorities: in response to lawful requests from courts, prosecutors or administrative bodies, limited to the scope of the request.
Publicly published questions and answers may be indexed by search engines. Before publishing a question we recommend removing information that identifies you (name, address, case number, national ID number) from the text.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (your browser’s local and tab storage) for two purposes. Essential ones keep you signed in, keep the platform secure and remember preferences you choose, such as language, theme and currency; the platform does not work without them, so they do not depend on consent and cannot be turned off. Measurement only happens with your permission (off by default). We do not use advertising, retargeting or third-party tracking cookies. The list below shows everything written to your device.

Measurement
Measures page speed and navigation times; while you are signed in, links usage events to your account. Writes nothing to your device and is never used for advertising or profiling.
- Performance measurementProcessing
Page speed metrics (Core Web Vitals) and navigation times, sent to our error monitoring service when it is enabled. Contains no personal data and no cookies.
Duration: Not stored on your device
- Usage analyticsProcessing
While you are signed in, links usage events such as sign-up, sign-in, questions, answers, messages, searches and payment steps to your account. Without permission, events are recorded without your identity.
Duration: Not stored on your device
If you allow measurement, page speed metrics and navigation times are sent to our error monitoring service when it is enabled, and while you are signed in, usage events such as sign-up, sign-in, questions, answers, messages, searches and payment steps are linked to your account. Without permission, usage events are recorded without your identity and reported only in aggregate. You make your choice in the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer or, while signed in, under Settings → Privacy and permissions. Your choice is kept on this device for 6 months; we ask again when it expires or when this policy changes. We keep a record of each choice (a random preference ID, the policy version and the date; your IP address only as an irreversible hash) for two years.
6. Retention periods
- Account data: for as long as your account is open; deleted or anonymised within 30 days of a deletion request at the latest.
- Questions, answers and articles: retained for service continuity once published; when an account is deleted the content is anonymised and unlinked from you.
- Payment and invoice records: 10 years under Tax Procedure Law no. 213 and Turkish Commercial Code no. 6102.
- Message contents: 2 years after the related question is closed.
- Contact form messages: 1 year after the request is closed; requests that are never closed, 2 years after the last activity.
- Cookie preference records: 2 years from the record; the preference on your device is deleted automatically after 6 months.
- Session and access logs: 2 years.
- Lawyer verification documents: until verification concludes; for the duration of membership if approved, 6 months if rejected.
7. Security measures
- All traffic is encrypted with TLS; passwords are stored with an irreversible algorithm.
- Authorisation is role-based; a user can reach only their own data and this is checked server-side on every request.
- Two-factor authentication (TOTP or SMS) is available on all accounts and recommended for lawyer accounts.
- Rate limits are applied to sign-in, password reset and verification endpoints against brute-force attacks.
- Access logs are kept; in the event of a data breach the Personal Data Protection Board and the affected individuals are notified as soon as possible.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format. The full list of rights and the application procedure are in the Data Protection Notice. You can also delete your account yourself from your dashboard.
9. Children's data
The platform is not designed for people under 18 and you declare that you are of age when registering. If we discover that we are processing data belonging to someone under 18, the record is deleted. You can report such a case to info@aymez.com.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy in line with changes to the service or the law. For material changes we notify you by email or within the platform; the “last updated” date at the top of the page always shows the version in force.
For questions write to info@aymez.com or use the Contact page.
